Consultant Surgeon and past Clinical Director of Surgery at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Trust having been appointed in 1986.

I also hold the posts of Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Surgery, University of Sheffield and Member of Council and past Senior Vice President, of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I have recently been appointed as Dean of the Academy of Education of the International Society of Surgery

The purpose of this site is to inform visitors to my site about my career history, experience, research and professional interests.
